Music and time

Music is a complex structure of sounds whose parameters can affect the perception of time.

Music is an art of movement in time. Rhythm, the artistic organisation of musical movement, permeates every aspect of the musical process. It shapes the melody, the harmony and the form of the music. It binds together the parts within the whole; the notes within the measure, the measure within the phrase and the phrase within the period.
